Moving Day Plus Seven

This is just a quick one...

As we continue to unpack and organize our stuff, things appear to be going well. No major arguments so far! We are both learning to compromise.

One of my compromises was to eliminate some fabric, since it was the source of discomfort for DF. I put together 5 boxes for the Iraqi Bundles of Love project and mailed them on Friday. Umm, 50 + yards of fabric and barely a dent! Kind of a wake up call. Maybe I actually do have too much fabric--or I need to get sewing.

Too much fabric, What's that? :) I'm glad the move is going well and I hope that you will find more time time to sew now that it's over.

Just think of the thrill those boxes will provide, what a wonderful donation! And you can always get more fabric as DF acclimates.

Duchesse--I am very excited about the project as is DF, who is a Vietnam combat veteran.

I hope the Iraqi ladies get a lot of enjoyment out of the bundles. I included a variety of fabrics that could be used for clothing or for their homes. I hope the organizer is able to recruit people to continue the project after he returns from his deployment.

One can never really have to much fabric, but it did go for a good cause. Once you are unpacked, start sewing!
