Just a quick post this morning, but I did want to share a bit of spring color from the high desert. This little barrel cactus is in my front yard and can always be counted on for pretty blooms in the spring.I'm hoping to post pictures of other xeriscape plants when they bloom, but this one is the first.

Oh I love it! I was hoping that NM wasn't all brown & sandy (like the movies). Going from FL to MI then to NM I was affraid that it would be this huge shock, but that is so pretty!!!!!! Do they bloom once a year? Do other things bloom as summer comes on too? I can't wait to see your other pics!
